Squirrel Scouts are a brand new branch to the Scouts family tree. It’s an introduction to new people, the world around them and things they can try.
We’re open to all girls and boys aged between 4 and 6. We’re at the start of our journey on Monday evenings so if your young person wants to join then sign up on our register of interest here.
This will only work with volunteers to help lead our Squirrels on their journey of discovery. We provide all the resources, you help with the ideas and putting them into action – plus it’s rewarding too. Email [email protected] if you can help out.
Programme
Every week for one hour during term time our Squirrels meet up to learn new skills and have amazing fun tailored to them.
The Squirrel programme has loads of badges and activities each packed with wow and wonder. Playing games and telling stories, being active and in the outdoors all play their part. Learn about local ‘superheroes’, be a super chef or a brilliant builder? You bet there’s a place for it.
We may be at the beginning of this journey but there is no shortage of ideas, activities and support for our fresh volunteer team.
Optional Extras
The important things for a Squirrel to bring when they come along is a smile and their uniform jumper (once they’ve come along for a while a made the promise). That’s it! If you do want some other Squirrel bits however, you can find them at Scouts Store.
