Community groups

As well as our Scouts of ages 4-18 years, our hall on Blackwater Drive also plays host to a number of regular community groups – some linked to our Scouts closer than others. Find out a little about them here.

Meet the Antler Club, your local bingo club for over 40 years.

We’re for fun and friendships in our local community while also supporting our local Scout group. Bingo, chat and tea – the ingredients for a good afternoon.

With a flyer, games, raffle and a prize draw each time there is plenty to keep you busy. All ages are welcome, including under 18s.

We play every Thursday afternoon from 1.30pm until 4.15pm.

Spread the word and get involved by contacting Tracy Hogan on 07773 037 007 or email [email protected] [email protected] and we’ll pass them on.

Getting babies and toddlers moving and having fun is their goal.

With pre-booked sessions covering different ages on Thursday mornings, Jiggy Wrigglers runs in different places across the area but find their home in Calmore at our hall every week.

Contact Kat at [email protected] or check out her Facebook page at facebook.com/jiggyssouthamptonwest for details of the recent sessions and pictures too.

It’s already a big time when you’re expecting, now you learn you’re expecting twins or even more! It can be a lot to take in, which is where this group come in.

Providing support and play for parents with twins and multiples, you can find them at our hall on Monday mornings. Email us at [email protected] and we can pass your details on.

This cup could be the start of a beautiful new friendship.

So many people can tell you the benefits of a good cup of tea. But we doubt new friends are on that list!

The cheerful Chinwaggers are more than just drinking tea and coffee. They organise trips and outings throughout the year and finish each year with their annual Christmas meal. You can find them down at the Scout HQ each Wednesday morning between 10am and 12pm roughly for refreshments, chat, raffle and bingo.

Everyone is welcome, from mums and toddlers to our elderly neighbours. Even if you don’t live nearby it’s really easy to reach us. The Bluestar 12 bus stops right outside every 20 minutes and if you’re not on the route then our Minibus can pick you up from locations in the Totton area as well as Winsor, Woodlands and Bartley.

So if you’re interested, get in contact: email [email protected] and we’ll pass it on.
