Santa Run and Christmas Fayre – how you can help.

You’ve probably heard a bit from us about this but we’re taking a moment to summarise everything our community and parents can do to make our Santa Run and Christmas Fayre a success.

The Santa Run and our Christmas Fayre is back, this time on Sunday 12th December starting from 9am.

It is the main fundraiser for the group and helps us deliver skills for life to our young people. In particular, your money helps us to improve our hall and bring it into the 21st Century. Much has been done but there is more to do.

I want to run in the Santa Run:

You can sign up right now. Prices and details on our website and you can book using Eventbrite or offline using the form on the Santa Run page.

I can help on the day:

We need volunteer marshals for road closures and to help us man the stalls run by the group. If you are interested, get in touch with your section leaders or [email protected] if you can help marshall the run.

I can donate things for the Christmas Fayre (same day):

We need teddies for the Teddy Tombola, chocolate and bottles for those tombolas and cakes for the cake stall on the day. We’d love it if chocolates and bottles are with us the week beginning 29th November, teddies are with us for Friday 3rd December and any cakes the day before the event.

I can spread the word:

Selling raffle tickets, passing on leaflets, sharing on social media all help. Completed raffle tickets can come back to us and more can be requested through [email protected]. If you’d like to help post leaflets or hand onto schools (presuming they’ll hand them out) then let a leader know.

We’re also planning a day handing out leaflets at ASDA on Saturday 4th December to customers. If your child can help for even 20-30 minutes, this would make a big difference!
