Cubs update: January 2020

Cubs

We started back to Cubs this week and have welcomed 9 Beavers coming up to join us and 2 newbies from outside of the Group. This has now taken us back up to 51 young people after losing a few last term.  We will be saying goodbye to 6 young people at the end of this term when they start their transition up to Scouts.

Last term ended on a high when we took 32 Cubs to the Pantomime at The Mayflower to see Peter Pan. 2 Cubs were very brave and went up on stage to take part in a song.

We have lots of fun things planned this term including battleships, wide games and Akela’s Egg Race to name a few. The Cubs will be working on their Disability Awareness badges and First Aid Badges and they will be having a visit from Hampshire Air Ambulance.

We will be taking part in the District Brainbox Competition in February and our first camp of the year is coming up in March where we will be taking 15 couples to a Galaxy Far Far Away.
