SCOUTS and guides have quite a problem getting about with their pieces of equipment.
But not any more, for the Fifth New Forest Scouts and the Second Testwood Guides asked British Gas Southern to help out.
Luckily a Ford D series gas van was being disposed of and British Gas Southern donated it to delighted group scout leader Derek Stevens, centre of the picture.
The keys were handed over by British Gas Southern regional secretary Ralph Ellis (left). The scout group’s chairman, Bob Wallis, stands to the right.
British Gas Southern has also donated a tracked vehicle to the Scottish Fire Brigade.
