Remembrance Day

It’s that time of year again when we take a step back from our scouting fun one morning and join the rest of the country in remembering those who fought in wars since 1914.

As always, to show our respect we’ll be encouraging everyone to wear a poppy and we will expect to see everyone at the Totton Remembrance Parade on Sunday 10th November. We’ll be meeting up outside the Police Station on the corner of Beaumont Road and Testwood Lane. You’ll need to be there for 10am. After that we all get organised so that by 10.20 we can start the parade.

For those unfamiliar with the parade, it heads down Beaumont Road and then up Commercial Road and Salisbury Road to the War Memorial. Parents are more than welcome to watch. We should all be there and ready for a half hour service at 10.45. Once the service has finished, we parade back down Salisbury Road and Library Road to where we started.

It’s a good occasion for us to be seen out and about with the community so remember to wear smart full uniform (shirt/jumper, scarf, black trousers, smart school-type shoes and poppy).
