Last Weekend the Beavers from all over the district came and joined in with an afternoon of fun and games to mark the 25th anniversary of Beaver Scouts. Yes, in 1986 the first beavers appeared and they’ve been going ever since.
Joining in the celebration was over 80 beavers enjoying everything from a bouncy castle, circus skills, face painting, pass the parcel and parachute games as well as a fabulous barbeque and disco! A big beaver joined in the fun from time to time and all of this made sure it was a night to remember!
A huge thank you goes to all the leaders from all the groups who gave up all of their Saturday to help set up, run and clear up this mega birthday bash, and who indeed give up their time every week so that this tradition is still alive 25 years on.
But most of all, thank you to the beavers, who keep coming time and time again, who learn the skills and enjoy what is on offer. With both groups working together, we can ensure Beaver scouts lasts another 25 years.
