It’s been one incredible year for our Scout group.
From Herculean fundraising efforts to a very action-packed programme from all sections, an enormous amount of time and effort has been put in by the scouts, their parents and the leaders.
It is even better therefore that our efforts have been recognised in the wider community, spreading the word about what Scouting means today.
Our Three Peaks Challenge got a lot of attention including this piece in the Chronicle, the John Lewis Partner’s magazine featuring our very own Andy Austin, quartermaster and Explorer scout leader.
From the most epic of tasks to the much smaller. Our Beaver scouts got a mention in The Herald after they worked with New Forest Young Carers to raise over £100 for their cause as well as learning all about the people they help.
Here’s to a new year of Scouting with more to shout about.
