On Saturday 13th May the sounds of cheering, laughter and tumbling skittles filled the hall as the scout’s latest fundraising event took place.
Run jointly by the scout group and the Antler Club bingo group, the event saw around 25 people compete for the sought-after prizes. And with refreshments throughout and a fish and chip supper from Totton Fish Bar to punctuate the evening, it was fun filled and enjoyed by all.
The winners of the night was Ian Hayes, Sue Wilson and scout Callum, winning the men’s, ladies’ and children’s leagues respectively. Callum scored highest during the evening with a grand score of 52 over the 5 games.
The event raised in total £120.57 for the scout group which will go towards the fundraising total for this year.
Fundraising for the scouts helps us to improve our HQ for the benefit of all who use it, run bigger and better events each year, train more leaders so they have the skills needed to offer really great scouting for more young people and ensure that great scouting is offered to all. It really does make a massive difference to the life of a young person in our community today.
