Leaders and parents take on the Three Peaks

Three Peaks challengeAs you may have noticed, we’re busy fundraising for improvements to our Scout HQ.

And as we love a challenge an intrepid bunch of leaders are attempting one of the biggest challenges on this island: the Three Peaks Challenge.

Climbing the highest peaks of England, Wales and Scotland in 24 hours is a tall order by anyone’s yard-stick. But with a combined height of over 3,000m this is a big task.

The three peaks are Scafell Pike in the Lake District (978m), Snowdon in north Wales (1085m) and finally Ben Nevis itself in the highlands of Scotland (1344m).

Keep up to date with preparations and the hike itself at their publicly view-able Facebook page.
