There are loads of ways you can help your local scout group, from the small things through to some of our biggest events of the year. So invite others along, get involved and help your local scouts.
Santa Run and Christmas Fayre
This year’s Santa Run is fast approaching and as ever we want you!
You can sign up right now to run from AFC Totton’s ground in Calmore to the heart of Totton on Sunday 10th December. Open to all ages and speeds, it is a great event now in its second year.
On the same day and waiting for the runners at the finish line is our Christmas fayre, located in Totton at the Memorial car park.
Including games and challenges from the group’s sections, stalls from local businesses, big prize raffles, cake off and even visiting reindeer, it promises to be a big event before Christmas.

Skittles night
The Antler Club has another great skittles night planned for Saturday 18th November. Starting at 6.30pm, play skittles in our very own HQ for prizes. Tickets cost £6.50 and includes a fish and chip supper part way into the event. Bring your own alcohol, soft drinks are available.

It’s not just big events where you can help us make a difference. You can even help us through your everyday shopping, at no extra cost to you but earning us money on each shop. The answer is Easy Fundraising.
So if you’re an Amazon shopper, prefer to be colourful with ebay, or maybe you follow the adverts and shop John Lewis or M&S it doesn’t matter – you can still help us! There are hundreds of retailers online so chances are if you’re shopping online this Christmas you can help us in some way.
Simply log on to the Easy Fundraising website, choose us as your cause and then continue your shopping by following the links on the website. It will then send us a little donation based on how much you spend at no cost to you. Simple!

Movie night
Our fundraising team are planning a movie night at the HQ near the beginning of December. More details will be released soon so watch this space!
How else you can help us.
As well as the occasional events, there are also lots of small things you can do all year round to help us.
We collect milk bottle tops (any with a 2 or 4 in the lid) to be recycled into a variety of products including wellies useful for mini-adventures in our great outdoors. Washed bottle tops can be left in the metal bin in the scout HQ.
We also collect ink cartridges from most printer types to be recycled and re-used once more. They can also be left in the box in the Scout HQ.
We also have a Rag Bag clothing bin located in the car park for any old clothing for either re-use or recycling. This in particular has helped raise lots of money for the group over the year.
